- Administer nursing care to residents under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Assist with treatments and procedures and carry out selected duties within the framework of the established nursing plan of care.
- In collaboration with the RN collect data about residents and determine priorities for resident care based upon identified needs and goals.
- Contribute to the plan of care through collaboration and effective communication with the RN and other members of the healthcare team.
- Under the direction of the RN and within the scope of practice, comply with established nursing policies, procedures and standards to provide safe, quality care to residents.
- Administer medications and monitor IV therapy as ordered and according to established policies and standards.
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
- A current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of New York.
- 1 year of experience or more as an LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills.
- 1 year of experience or more working in a skilled nursing facility.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to engage within a team setting.
- Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field.
$24.00 - $30.10 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
