Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of recent ICU experience and an active NY RN license.

• Work in a hospital-based Critical Care Float Pool
• Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Float to multiple ICU units, including Neuro and SICU units
• Utilizes Epic EMR system and experience is mandatory
• No block scheduling permitted
• Contract assignment length is 13 weeks
• Competency testing is required for all float pool assignments
• Only medical exemptions for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional, will be accepted
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13 week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI must be provided
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• Competency testing for ICU required with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Candidate must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• US Social Security Number is required
