American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool day shift position requiring an active NY RN license and 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.

• Med Surg Float Pool within Central Staffing Office/Clinical Support
• 13-week assignment on day shift
• Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No blocked scheduling permitted

• Active NYS RN license required
• 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference from a supervisor or manager within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine if not vaccinated (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)
• Competency testing required for applicants with less than 2 years of Med/Surg experience, with 2 attempts to pass

• Float pool role supporting Med/Surg units as needed
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible if residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period will result in contract termination
• Any required make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
