Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med-Surg General Surgery/Trauma unit requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med-Surg specialty required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemptions only accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations not accepted

• Med-Surg unit specializing in General Surgery/Trauma patient population
• 13-week contract on day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Provide direct patient care to general surgery and trauma patients on a med-surg unit
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
• Competency testing required for MS applicants with less than 2 years of experience, with 2 attempts to pass
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period will result in contract termination
• Make-up shifts for call-outs must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
