American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit position requiring Epic experience and at least 2 years of recent PCU or ICU experience.

• Progressive Critical Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Caring for medically delicate and surgically complex patients, including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex trauma, and surgical complications
• Average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week assignment

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in progressive care or ICU setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• Competent in medical and surgical patient care, advanced hemodynamics, pressor titration protocols, antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombolytics, arterial lines, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, infection prevention protocols, HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent care
• Large-scale adult PCU experience or community hospital ICU experience preferred
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• Minimum of 1 reference from a supervisor or manager (no charge nurse references accepted), dated within the past year

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Competency testing required within 24 hours of consideration
• Candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible for this position
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling permitted
