Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist/Nocturnist

Location: NY

Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM; 7 on/7 off (as documented)

Position Overview

Provide hospitalist/nocturnist coverage in an inpatient hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care to acutely ill adult patients in a hospital setting
• Examine and assess patients upon admission and throughout the hospital stay
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies
• Coordinate care for hospitalized patients and communicate with primary care providers regarding patient status and post-discharge follow-up
• Document patient care in the electronic health record (Epic)

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Nurse Practitioner license (must be in hand at time of submission, as documented)
• Board certification required (as documented)
• AHA BLS and ACLS (as documented)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience (as documented)
• Epic experience required (as documented)

Unit Notes

• Patient ratios noted: 1:10-15 (as documented)
• Automated medication dispensing system noted (as documented)
