American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position requiring Trauma Level One and prior travel experience.

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit
• Cares for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient populations
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NY RN license required
• Current AHA or RQI certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU care
• Trauma Level One experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must provide a US Social Security Number (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• At least one professional reference from a supervisor or manager within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
• Medical exemptions only accepted for flu vaccination (personal/religious declinations not accepted)
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with required make-up shifts completed within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• Local candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
