American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night shift position requiring Trauma Level One and prior travel experience.

• Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU/Neuro ICU) setting
• Trauma Level One facility caring for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage
• 48 hour per week schedules may be available
• Epic EMR used

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and other relevant certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient populations required
• Trauma Level One ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine if declining (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)
• Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible, with specific excluded counties including Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
