American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool night shift position requiring Epic experience and previous travel nursing experience.

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a hospital setting
• Floats across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Also cares for ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week assignment

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and other relevant certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICUs highly desired
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference required, not older than one year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN required;
  Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination; personal or religious exemptions not accepted

• Provides critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialty units as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• Local candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify
• Travel pairs are not accepted
