American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med-Surg Float Pool night shift position requiring 2 years of recent specialty experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Med-Surg Float Pool within Central Staffing Office/Clinical Support department
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Float Pool position requiring flexibility across medical-surgical units
• Floating required as part of assignment responsibilities
• No blocked scheduling permitted

• Active NY RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required (must be from AHA or RQI)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med-Surg specialty required
• Med-Surg applicants with less than 2 years of experience must pass competency testing with up to 2 attempts
• Epic EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Minimum 1 reference within the past year from a supervisor or manager (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine if not vaccinated (personal or religious declinations not accepted)

• Provide nursing care across medical-surgical units as part of a float pool team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, excluding residents of Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period will result in contract termination
• Make-up shifts for call-outs must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
