This Research Scientist 2 position within the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's Division of Program Planning, Research and Evaluation evaluates the impact of legislation, policy, and agency initiatives through data analysis and reporting. The role involves analyzing DOCCS data using statistical software like SPSS and Stata, creating data visualizations in Tableau, and collaborating on criminal justice research projects. Responsibilities include routine reporting, responding to ad hoc data requests, and presenting findings through tabular, graphical, and written reports.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and three years of professional research experience in criminal justice
- Proficiency with SPSS or Stata for advanced statistical data analysis
- Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization software
- Experience designing and conducting criminal justice research
- Knowledge of appropriate research methodologies and statistical techniques
