Location: City of Albany
This Research Scientist 1 position is part of the Staffing Analysis unit within the Division of Program Planning, Research and Evaluation at the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. The incumbent will conduct correctional staffing research and analyses, develop data structures and reports related to departmental staffing, recruitment, and retention, and present findings using statistical software and data visualization tools. The role requires advanced statistical analysis of DOCCS data and collaboration with departmental staff and outside analysts.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and two years of professional research experience in criminal justice
- Proficiency using SPSS or Stata for advanced data analysis
- Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization software
- Demonstrated experience working with sensitive and confidential data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
