Location: City of Albany
Senior Project Manager for multiple environmental remediation programs including Brownfield Cleanup, Manufactured Gas Plant, and Superfund sites. The role manages all phases of remedial work with oversight of technical staff, field coordination, and public interaction across the Department of Environmental Conservation. This is a permanent full-time position based in Albany, NY with 15-40% travel required.
Key qualifications:- New York State Professional Geologist license and current registration
- Bachelor's degree or higher in earth science, geology, environmental geology, hydrogeology, or related geoscience field
- Valid driver's license required
- 40-hour OSHA training course and annual HAZWOPER certification required
- Ability to work in remote areas, adverse weather, negotiate difficult terrain, and lift up to 40 pounds
- One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 22 or higher (for transfer eligible candidates)
