Job Summary

Perform rough and finish carpentry projects throughout the Center, maintaining and upgrading the aesthetic appearance of the facility and maintaining structure and life safety systems such as smoke and fire assemblies.

• Operate all stationary and portable power tools and equipment.
• Install windows, door frames, sashes, fasteners, glass, blinds, and screens.
• Carry out carpentry projects from sketches, plans, and specifications—including concrete forms, rough framing, and interior and exterior finish carpentry.
• Install interior and exterior signage, finish millwork, builders' hardware, wall bumpers, wall protection, and handrails.
• Install and replace acoustical ceiling tile and grid, including layout of new ceilings.
• Perform department relocations, fitting out spaces after construction, and install wall paneling, carpet, floor tile, and baseboard moldings.
• Assemble and install casework and countertops.
• Assist with maintenance of shop tools and equipment and keep the shop clean.
• Perform minor roof repairs and preventive maintenance on fire doors and smoke assemblies, stay up to date with codes, troubleshoot unsafe conditions, and correct safety hazards.
• Assist foremen and supervisors in scheduling and completing projects according to plan.
• Conduct housekeeping measures to promote safety.
• Attend asbestos and lead abatement training.
• Support reassignments or change of duties as requested by management.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required)
• Completion of a 4‑year apprenticeship program in carpentry (required)
• 4–6 years of experience working with a general contractor or in a facility as a carpenter (required)
