30 Month Contract, Full-time Selected candidates are expected to work in the Albany NY Office, 2-3 days per week
Oversee all CDESS HL7 and case notification projects
Manage tasks assigned to programmers within the project team.
Program in the full range of Java EE web technologies, configure and support files required for the development of CDESS vector surveillance system for mosquito, mammal, and tick; as well as COVID
19 and Hepatitis related modules.Participate in system design meetings, implement user requirements in the form of business rules, use cases and web page mockups.
Perform unit and regression testing scripts.
Provide system technical documentation.
Gather data migration rules and perform data migration.
Software Manager Oversees and coordinates the people, resources and processes required to deliver new software or to upgrade existing products. May take a hands‑on role in software development.

- 84+ months:
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. - 84 months experience in working with HL7 messages
- 84 months experience in design, developing, testing and deploying HL7 interfaces in Rhapsody
- 84 months experience implementing Hapi API for java to create HL7 messages and message segments
- 84 months experience with relational database and SQL
- 84 months experience in programming, using Java SE, JDBC, Java Servlets and JavaScript with relational database models. Utilizing the use Spring.my Batis framework.
- 84 months experience in using web services
- 84 months experience in using Web Logic application server.
- 84 months experience in system design and program/project oversight
- Bachelor’s Degree
