Inventory Lead
GeneralDuties and Responsibilities:
- Put away incoming inventory accurately and efficiently to ensure work areas are clean and clear of congestion or safety hazards.
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure proper flow of materials
- Pick, allocate, and prepare sales orders, ensuring accuracy and correct sequence as directed by the Production Planner.
- Maintain inventory print stations and equipment.
- Monitors stock levels and updates inventory levels to management
- Ensures proper receiving, storage, and documentation of incoming materials and parts.
- Responsible for maintaining and executing consumable inventory requests and levels.
- Ensure local and offsite inventory locations are accurate and accounted for
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Ensuring all documentation related to inventory flows is complete, accurate and filed correctly.
- Recording inventory adjustments and associated reason codes and notes.
- Direct inventory control personnel to ensure compliance to cycle counts and inventory procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts by performing daily cycle counts of locations and parts; monitoring and maintaining data consistency between databases; and researching inventory discrepancies found during picking.
- Maintain a safe work environment by working safely, following current Warehouse safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Effectively and accurately process inventory-related transactions
- Maintains accurate inventory levels by overseeing regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits.
- Suggest modifications to established procedures to improve production efficiency, improve quality, or reduce cost.
- Generate and maintain departmental reports as directed by the Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with the direction provided and support to team members to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of inventory control systems and procedures.
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly action plans that improve quality, Inventory accuracy, and service.
- Must have a “can-do” attitude with a sense of urgency and dedication to the success of the overall business mission.
- Plan, prepare, and participate in yearly Inventory audits.

Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. (Associates degree preferred)
- Customer service experience
- 5+ years of experience in an Inventory position
- Experience in Excel, Word, Power Point
Reports To: Operations Supervisor
PhysicalJob Requirements:
- Standing/Walking:
Continuously throughout the facility while picking, putting away, and counting inventory - Sitting:
For extended periods at a workstation to process transactions and complete documentation - Lifting/Carrying:
Up to 25 lbs. regularly; pushing, pulling, and maneuvering carts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment - Bending/Reaching:
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling to access parts in racking and bin locations at varying heights - Climbing:
Stairs and ladders to reach elevated storage areas - Manual Dexterity:
Repetitive hand use to operate barcode scanners, print stations, and computer keyboards - Vision:
Sufficient vision, with or without correction, to clearly read part numbers, labels, barcodes, and on-screen documentation, and to safely navigate the warehouse and operate equipment - Talking/Hearing:
Clear communication in person, by telephone, and over two-way radio in an environment with background noise
