Job Summary

Coordinates and implements the work of the University Partnerships program, including maintaining and creating university articulations and Degree Partnership student recruitment, registration, marketing. Provides direct student support for program navigation and academic progression, referral monitoring, and intervention for students, communication, and events.

Essential Duties
  • Provides support for students entering the Degree Partnership Programs (DPP).
  • Develops and monitors email campaigns for prospective students.
  • Answers questions and navigates the process with prospective and newly admitted students.
  • Conducts DPP information sessions and recruiting events on and off campus.
  • Provides an overview of the program, admission requirements, application process, new student orientation, and course registration information.
  • Responsible for entering students into Banner for the Degree Partnership Program, effectively admitting and matriculating students into Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC).
  • Attends off-campus START sessions during the summer and term orientations at OSU and provides academic advising to DPP students at Oregon State University (OSU) START sessions. Interprets placement test results and assists students with scheduling needs.
  • Attends off-campus orientation sessions at other partner institutions as appropriate.
  • Performs transcript evaluations for incoming students in cooperation with the Transcripts office.
  • Gives campus tours to prospective students and family members.
  • Advises DPP students on course selection at LBCC and partner institutions using online articulation tables to determine course equivalencies.
  • Enters and verifies pre-requisite overrides for DPP students.
  • Assists students with progression challenges and barriers; communicates next steps and coordinates resources to support academic progression.
  • Maintains knowledge of current policies at OSU, WOU, Oregon Tech, and other partners to aid problem-solving.
  • Fosters a welcoming, inclusive environment and collaborates with LBCC staff and faculty to meet students' academic needs.
  • Connects students to appropriate faculty or managers for counseling, problem solving, advising, and referrals as needed.
  • Develops, monitors, and maintains articulation agreements and curricular guides at DPP and other partner universities.
  • Reviews and maintains college-wide advising guides for OSU and other university partners; audits articulations for transfer consistency and notifies the dean of changes.
  • Coordinates meetings between partner universities and LBCC faculty to maintain articulation agreements.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Position requires an AA/AS degree and at least one year of experience in customer-facing support services.
  • Requires at least one year of demonstrated proficiency in managing workflows and back-end functionality of Banner or similar information systems or customer service management software.
  • Requires demonstrated experience in managing complex data processes, public presentations, and small-group student or client consultations.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Occasional lifting of light to medium weight materials (10 to 50 pounds) for orientations and presentations.
  • Ability to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; visual acuity to read words and numbers.
  • Effective communication with the public, staff, and students in person and by phone.
  • Office setting with occasional late or early hours; substantial time spent at a computer.
