Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annual
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, leading key accounting processes, and driving continuous improvements across finance operations.
This is a full-time, onsite position located in Albany, Oregon.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and perform detailed account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Support the annual audit process, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Monitor and enhance internal controls, suggesting improvements where needed
- Mentor and support junior accountants or accounting staff
- Provide ad hoc financial analyses and decision support for management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and procurement
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public or private sector)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual-based accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience using ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Quick Books Enterprise)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel (advanced skills required)
- Strong analytical abilities and experience interpreting financial data and trends
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to clearly communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members
- Fully onsite in Albany, Oregon
- Standard full-time schedule; flexibility may be required during close periods or audits
- Occasional travel may be needed (e.g., to store locations)
- Team-oriented, collaborative work environment
