Are you ready to help shape the future of Oregon Youth Authority's facilities? We are seeking a Construction Project Manager 1 to lead and coordinate construction and remodel projects across the agency. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and aligned with OYA's mission.
As a Construction Project Manager 1, you will oversee projects from planning through completion, managing budgets, schedules, and contract administration. You will monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with all requirements, and provide thorough inspection services to maintain quality and safety standards. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with agency staff, contractors, architects, and engineers to deliver successful projects.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and committed to teamwork. Strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Minimum Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Architecture, Planning, or Engineering AND one year experience related to the class series concept OR
- An Associate Degree (or comparable college course work) in Architectural, Engineering or Construction technology AND 30 months experience related to the class series concept OR
- Four years of experience related to the class series concept.
- Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), Oregon Project Management Associate Certification (OPMA) or other related certification will substitute for 1 year of the qualifying experience.
- Driver's license required: Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required. We will conduct pre‑employment driving record checks on our final candidate(s).
