OverviewWe are seeking a Construction Project Manager 1 to lead and coordinate construction and remodel projects across the agency.
Responsibilities- Oversee projects from planning through completion, managing budgets, schedules, and contract administration.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide thorough inspection services to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with agency staff, contractors, architects, and engineers to deliver successful projects.
- Apply an equity lens to all aspects of planning and implementation, ensuring facilities are inclusive and accessible.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Architecture, Planning, or Engineering AND one year of related experience;
OR - Associate degree (or comparable college coursework) in Architectural, Engineering or Construction technology AND 30 months of related experience;
OR - Four years of experience related to the class series concept.
- Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI), OR Oregon Project Management Associate Certification (OPMA), or other related certification will substitute for 1 year of qualifying experience.
- Driver's license required. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position.
- Innovative but effective communicator and public speaker.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications to develop Gantt charts and project requirements listings.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on commercial construction projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and construction teams.
- Ability to apply an equitable lens in all project work.
- Ability to prepare and provide project status reports in person and virtually.

- Limited Duration: This position is expected to end when the project is complete. It has the potential to become permanent.
- Hybrid Telework: May be approved for up to 2 days per week at home depending on business needs.
- Open Until Filled: Recruitment will remain open until filled.
- Salary Range: $5,325.00 – $8,148.00 (non-PERS participating rate). If you become a PERS member, the range will increase by 6%.
- Annual increases on the anniversary date until the maximum of the salary range is reached.
