Packaging Operator I: 3rd Shift – Oregon Freeze Dry
Location: Albany, OR
Join the Oregon Freeze Dry team where innovation and quality drive our freeze‑drying technology for Mountain House® meals and advanced lyophilization solutions. We are looking for a Packaging Operator to support our production line with preparation, packaging, and quality control on the 3rd shift.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor production equipment, leading line activities to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting.
- Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of machines according to SOPs.
- Maintain production flow and report equipment or process issues promptly.
- Accurately complete production records and quality checks in real‑time.
- Ensure documentation complies with company policies, GMP, and regulatory standards.
- Enter production data into digital systems (MES/ERP/spreadsheets) as required.
- Identify and correct documentation errors or elevate to supervisors.
- Report nonconformances or quality concerns immediately.

ScheduleMonday – Friday, 3rd Shift (10:45 pm – 7:15 am)
Environment Of This Position- Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Noise level can be loud.
- Exposure to various food allergens.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, carrying, lifting, and twisting.
- Must be able to lift 15–50 pounds regularly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment, preferably in a food or GMP environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry, digital forms, and manufacturing systems.
- Basic math and unit conversions.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and technical documents.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation required; flexibility to travel between company locations.
