We’re looking for a Forklift Operator to join our Production team on the 3rd shift. This position is vital to production operations and ensures continuous supply to production lines, supports inventory control, and upholds a clean, organized, and food‑safe environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in food production, has excellent organizational skills, and can work collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks while following food safety and company handling standards.
  • Deliver ingredients and supplies to production lines to support continuous operations.
  • Transfer finished products to storage or shipping areas with accurate inventory tracking.
  • Assist with inventory tasks including cycle counts, FIFO rotation, and location accuracy.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve material flow issues.
  • Follow GMPs, sanitation standards, and food safety guidelines at all times.
  • Accurately complete documentation for inventory, shipping, and material movement.
  • Conduct forklift inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
  • Participate in safety programs, report potential hazards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse and material handling processes.
  • Support production operations as needed by performing line tasks, assisting with equipment operation, and maintaining workflow continuity.

Hourly pay: starting at $24/hour with $1.00 differential for night shift

Schedule: Monday‑Friday 3rd Shift (10:45pm‑7:15am)

  • Constant requirement to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, reach, carry, and lift and twist

OFD contains office, manufacturing and outdoor work spaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand and climb; bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present;

and be comfortable at various heights.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or college coursework preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of forklift operation or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with inventory and warehouse management systems, including digital tracking tools.
  • Strong understanding of GMPs and food safety standards in food production environments.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures, shipping/receiving operations, and product rotation methods such as FIFO.
  • High attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory control.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficient in computer systems for inventory tracking and digital documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain clean, orderly, and compliant work spaces.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
