Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Albemarle, NC, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is quality-driven and ready to make a significant impact on a small community.
Our practice is a community-based hospital and a highly motivated partner within Atrium Health’s Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI), one of the largest musculoskeletal programs in the country. We maintain a small community feel while benefiting from proximity to the Charlotte metro region. Our institute includes a network of physicians specializing in spine, orthopedics, primary care sports medicine, and physical medicine and rehab.
Opportunity highlights:
- Modern surgical suites equipped with high-definition video and state-of-the-art technology.

. - A team consisting of four physicians and two advanced practice providers
. - Weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM) with dedicated clinic and OR time.
- Shared weekday call among providers;
weekend call managed by Atrium’s weekender and locum teams.
Our ideal candidate:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited training program.
Experience in:
- General orthopedic procedures.
- Joint procedures, including total joint replacements, hip and knee surgeries
. - A strong commitment to quality care and community engagement.
