Job Overview

Adjunct Faculty Pool – Geology at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a course‑by‑course appointment on a semester basis.

• Teach developmental and/or college‑level courses, including distance‑learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends.
• Primarily face‑to‑face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction.
• Assist the agency or state government in emergency declarations by the Governor if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree in Geology or equivalent with 18 graduate hours in Geology.
• Two years teaching experience and work experience in the field.
• Experience with online teaching.
• Operation of a state vehicle (no required travel).
