Maintenance Manager - FOOD MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Location: Multiple locations (Albert Lea, Minnesota; Saint Gabriel, Louisiana; Sleepy Eye, Minnesota).
Relocation Assistance Available
Salary: $90,000 to $120,000

- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- The Maintenance Manager leads, supports, and directs the maintenance staff.
- Manages plant electrical control and mechanical systems, covering utility, production, equipment, and processing.
- Provides technical assistance, training, and interfaces with Engineering and Plant Operations managers.
- Collaborates with Operations management to resolve critical control and processing capability issues.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of processing, plant mechanical and automation systems.
- Strong leadership; self-directed with minimal supervision; manages manpower, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
- Evaluates staff performance, sets objectives, and supports goal attainment.
- Communicates status of work orders, repairs, and maintenance to Operations leadership.
- Develops and implements a preventive maintenance program using Accruent Maintenance Connection software.
- Uses MP2 Maintenance Software to analyze labor efficiency, equipment deficiencies, and inventory levels.
- Manages all equipment changes/installations within budget and on schedule.
- Provides technical training for plant employees on electrical, control, and automation.
- Uses critical path analysis for project planning and execution.
- Designs automation network systems (DH‑4/5, DH+, Ethernet) for PLC integration.
- Develops SCADA, MMI, historical trending, and database transfer applications.
- Applies proficiency in Excel, Word, NT 4.0, Access, Project Manager, Rockwell RS, AutoCAD 14/15, and electrical control project management.
- Maintains accurate records of electrical, PLC programs, and control systems.
- Maximizes operational efficiency through supplier collaboration.
- Supports capital improvement projects, product scale‑ups, and new product introductions.
- Develops local engineering standards aligned with Process Safety Management.
- Attends seminars and courses to keep knowledge current.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
- Familiarity with food safety and regulatory standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
