The Paramedic is responsible for delivering and administering high quality care and transportation to ill and injured persons. The Paramedic must demonstrate clinical competency and compassion in providing the physical and emotional needs of patients. The role requires excellent judgment and the ability to prioritize decisions and act quickly in the best interest of the patient. The candidate must be self‑disciplined, able to develop patient rapport, interview hostile patients, maintain safe distance, and use communication unique to diverse multicultural groups.
The Paramedic must function independently at optimum level in a constantly changing non‑structured environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Preferred: experience as a Paramedic or an associate/baccalaureate degree in Paramedicine.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Current certification as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and current Minnesota and/or Wisconsin Paramedic licensure/certification.
- American Heart Association CPR and ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
$29.94 - $44.97 per hour.
ScheduleFull Time, 12‑hour shifts (36 hours per week). Typically every other weekend.
