CUPE 5791 Job Family Research Category Staff Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary Research assistance is sought on a project relating to energy transition movements in Nova Scotia and PEI . The position will involve transcribing and coding interviews, reviewing academic, policy and NGO literature, and connecting with organizations involved in transition movements.
- The successful applicant will have typing skills suitable for transcribing interviews and will be able to search academic databases and summarize academic literature.
- They will also have strong Internet search skills and work well without supervision.
- The job will involve outreach to organizations involved in energy transition, so the ability to craft friendly and welcoming emails and make cold calls is expected.
- This job is appropriate for a graduate student with research assistance experience.
- Familiarity with environmental issues is an asset.
- The successful candidate will be residing in Nova Scotia or PEI .
- The work hours are flexible with accommodation for time off for summer holidays.
