Trade Compliance Director

Our client is seeking a dynamic leader to shape and direct a global trade compliance program that spans multiple continents. Compensation: $160,000 – $210,000 base salary DOE + 25% annual short-term incentive bonus

• Lead global trade compliance strategy and governance across imports, exports, sanctions, and forced-labor risk
• Serve as the primary contact for regulatory audits, inquiries, and disclosures
• Build and maintain compliance systems, policies, and controls
• Oversee classification, licensing, and reporting for U.S. and foreign regimes
• Guide risk-based training and organizational change management
• Manage cross-functional partnerships with supply chain, finance, IT, and legal teams
• Mentor and develop a team of trade compliance professionals

• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Hands-on expertise with USDA, BIS, OFAC, and EU trade regulators
• Demonstrated leadership in forced-labor compliance programs (UFLPA evidence packages, supplier mapping, detention management)
• Proven ability to build trade controls governance infrastructure
