Gastroenterology Physician

Vivo Health Staff is recruiting a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a growing practice affiliated with a Level II Trauma hospital in Jackson, Michigan. This position offers a mix of inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic responsibilities with opportunities for academic involvement.

Details:

• Board Eligible candidates considered; must become Board Certified within one year

• Preferred candidates have Board Certification in Gastroenterology with 5 8 years of GI work experience (excluding residency/fellowship)

• Responsibilities include inpatient care, outpatient clinic, patient rounds, and procedure support

• Clinic coverage is approximately one day per week, supported by advanced practice providers (APPs) both in-house and in clinic

• Affiliated with a hospital-owned endoscopy center and outpatient clinic on the hospital campus for convenient patient access

• Teaching opportunities available through Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs for those interested in academic roles

• Demonstrates broad knowledge of gastroenterology through successful completion of complex assignments

• Familiarity with organizational business practices is preferred

• ITIL or other industry certifications preferred; PMP certification is a plus

• Proximity to larger cities including Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Detroit enhances work-life appeal

• May perform additional job-related duties as assigned

• Not open to locum tenens, locum-to-perm, or 1099 candidates

• Candidates with lapsed Board Certification seeking recertification are not eligible

• Candidates with commutes over one hour or concurrent jobs are not eligible

• Shift schedules are fixed; alternate shift requests are not accommodated

• Open to H-1B visa candidates only; J-1 visa candidates not accepted

Schedule:

• Full-time, inpatient and outpatient clinical schedule with defined shifts
