Position Summary

Working Title: Accounting Assistant

Organization: New Mexico Ramp Project

Location: 2210 Silver St. SE, Albuquerque, NM

An Off-Campus Work-Study Position

Specific Duties:

• Enter information in Quickbook Online software and generate invoices & reports.
• Maintain a paper filing system.
• Contact NMRP Team Leaders to obtain receipts for purchases.
• When accounting duties are light, contact clients to fill out a simple questionnaire on wheelchair ramp requirements.

WORKING WITH: NMRP staff, homeowners & volunteers

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet satisfactory academic progress.

KNOWLEDGE

REQUIRED:

Understanding and ability to use computer software and email systems. Knowledge of Quickbook accounting software.

SKILLS: Good working with people. Must be able to climb stairs.

TIME COMMITMENT: 10 hours per week, flexible schedule between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

AGE REQUIREMENTS: 18 years and older

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Adhere to all Board policies. Signing of a Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest form is required. A sex offender registry check will be conducted.
