We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Consulting Accountant to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting skills in a highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly accounting reports, conducting job costing analysis, and generating job profitability reports for Project Managers.

The candidate must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and have a knack for identifying trends, anomalies, and areas of improvement. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality. The Consulting Accountant will be a key player in our team, providing financial insights that will help guide business decisions and strategy.

• Prepare and analyze monthly accounting reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct job costing analysis to track project expenses, identify cost overruns, and make recommendations for cost control.
• Generate job profitability reports for Project Managers, providing insights into project performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
• Evaluate financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of improvement.
• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
• Provide financial advice to management to help them make well‑informed decisions.
• Work on special projects as assigned.

• Construction industry experience required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
• Exceptional analytical skills and experience in statistical analysis and financial forecasting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial reports and data.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
