Construction Bookkeeper - Albuquerque, NM

A well-established commercial general contractor in Albuquerque is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a stable company known for its strong reputation and supportive culture.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervision of two accounting staff members
• Reviewing and processing weekly payroll
• Creating certified payroll reports
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Processing payroll taxes (940 and 941) for multiple states
• Reconciling bank accounts monthly
• Preparing monthly financial statements and WIP reports
• Performing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Entering monthly depreciation entries
• Supporting annual insurance and workers comp audits
• Tracking employee vacation and sick days
• Preparing monthly gross receipts/sales tax reports

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry required
• Degree in Accounting preferred
• Experience with Foundation Construction Accounting Software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple priorities

Compensation:
Salary is dependent on experience (DOE) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
