Staff Accountant

Position Summary

Staff Accountant role at client in Albuquerque. Focus on accurate financial records, month‑end processes, payroll, and compliance with accounting standards.

Onsite, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Minimum 3‑month contract, potential extension based on performance and business needs.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Perform reconciliations between internal records and bank statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and solid understanding of GAAP principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
