Position SummaryThe UNM School of Engineering Dean’s Office is seeking a highly motivated, hardworking student to assist with the maintenance of department, center and program websites. This student must be able to interact with students/faculty/staff in a professional manner. Key attributes of a student in this position are a willingness to learn, ability to proofread content and personal initiative.
DutiesAssists with the development and maintenance of department, center, and program websites. Uploads, edits, and publishes web content (text, images, etc.) with guidance from the School of Engineering Website Administrator and Marketing Manager. Assists with communication or marketing-related tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications- GPA of 3.0 or better, pursuing any degree.
- Knowledge and understanding of current website authoring languages, editing tools, and related website technologies.
- Experience with website content management systems such as Word Press or Cascade.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proofreading and editing skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
- Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and to make evaluative judgements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
