Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) seeks an enthusiastic work-study student who can provide a variety of administrative and data entry roles to support faculty and staff. This position will be responsible for providing in-office front desk reception coverage and requires a friendly, professional, reliable and organized individual who demonstrates strong initiative, attention to detail and possesses excellent time-management and communication skills.
This position is located off campus and is working in the office. This is not a remote position. Students are expected to prioritize work over homework. If no work is available, they are expected to meet with their supervisor for homework approval.
Responsibilities- Generate a positive impression of office by greeting visitors, staff, faculty and students.
- Answering telephone calls and forwarding messages with a high degree of professionalism.
- Picking-up and sorting mail and receiving packages.
- Process faculty and staff purchase and travel reimbursements using Chrome River.
- Assist faculty and staff with organizational and project requests.
- Input and verify data in prescribed formats, utilizing knowledge of various computer software packages.
- Complete data entry tasks following a standardized protocol when needed.
- Recognize issues requiring immediate attention and assisting with solutions.
- Troubleshoot minor technology issues.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Assist with filing, shredding and scanning.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of client records.
- Prefer work study qualified student.
- Must have consistent availability during regular business hours Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
- Experience as a receptionist and excellent customer services skills.
- Skilled in the use of personal computers, Chrome River, Excel, Smartsheets, Teams, Zoom and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with data input and the ability to verify and correct errors.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to protocols and procedures.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with the use of basic office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
