The Jr. Cost Analyst
-SpRCO position requires a minimum of three years of progressive DoD experience, e.g., Air Force, Navy, Army, Missile Defense Agency and other DoD organizations, or any Air Force ACAT I level acquisition program cost analysis experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Economics, Math, Engineering, or similar is required.
- The applicant will develop and deliver cost estimates for defense acquisition related projects.
- Must have a thorough understanding of cost estimating, defense acquisition and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES).
- Will create estimates using ACEIT (), Excel, and other software tools.
- May be required to work with higher DoD officials and communicate with prime contractor personnel.
- Minimum of three years of progressive DoD cost analysis experience as described.
- Demonstrated expertise in ICBM related subsystems or similar DoD weapons systems.
- Experience with data collection, normalization and knowledge of the Defense Cost and Resource Center (DCARC) data collection process.
- Experience with Earned Value Management and Scheduling principles for cost estimates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent verbal, written, and quantitative analytical skills.
- Proficient in performing government cost estimating activities such as cost/price analysis, WBS development, and risk analysis.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition policies and project management processes.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management and Scheduling.
- Strong working knowledge of ACEIT.
- Ability to work in a team environment and in a sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIF).
- Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
