Construction Manager – Las Cruces, NM

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead aerial and underground fiber construction projects in the Las Cruces area. This role requires a strong, organized leader who can manage field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead daily field operations, including safety, traffic control, DOT compliance, damage mitigation, and fleet coordination.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, allocate resources, and keep all stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for construction updates and customer expectations.
  • Identify issues early and implement effective solutions to keep projects moving.
  • Manage reporting requirements, review invoicing, and ensure accurate As‑Built documentation.
  • Uphold company standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in telecommunications or a related field.
  • High school diploma (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, telecommunications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, NCTI, FOA Fiber Optic, or SCTE (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Technical Background
  • Solid understanding of fiber architecture.
  • Experience with aerial and underground construction materials, equipment, and processes.
  • Knowledge of drilling, plowing, trenching, missile operations, and restoration.
  • Familiarity with fiber splicing workflows and documentation.
  • Ability to interpret project data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience managing employees and subcontractors in the field.
