CUMULUS MEDIA | Albuquerque, NM currently features 7 stations including KKOB, KTBL, KNML, KRST-FM, KOBQ-FM, KDRF-FM, and KMGA-FM. We seek a local-first leader who can drive story selection, the power of audio, and fast-paced storytelling to lead our newsroom.

We are a fully staffed newsroom with the tools you need. You will lead, coordinate, and report as needed; social media skills (Facebook, X/Twitter) are a must. Be ready to hit the street and report.

The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in medium-to-major market broadcast news, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, is a self-starter, and can lead a fast-paced newsroom.

• Coordinates and executes all on-site logistics for daily appearances and live broadcasts
• Special assignment and long-range news planning
• Coordinate breaking news coverage and oversee content on the web and social media
• Work with station personnel to produce a top-notch news cast twice per hour
• Develop key relationships in the city and state
• Attend evening and weekend station events, including client appearances and station events
• Provide regular performance feedback to staff

• Highly organized with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent On-Air delivery
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of digital and social media
• In-office business hours with additional hours out of office, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
