Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our team at the Albuquerque Indian Dental Clinic. This is a full-time locum tenens contract opportunity providing high-quality dental care to children within a family dental clinic setting serving the Native American community.

- Work with any active U.S. state dental license
- Deliver comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, preventive services, and restorative procedures
- Educate patients and caregivers on oral health and hygiene
- Maintain accurate dental records using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care
- DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school
- Minimum of two years of pediatric dentistry experience (post-graduation or through fellowship)
- Active, unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state or territory
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and obtain facility credentialing
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to adapt to clinic protocols
- Prior IHS or tribal health experience is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Indian Preference Policy: In accordance with the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Employment Code (Title 22), this position is designated as a Tier 2 role. Preference will be given to qualified Native American applicants as outlined in Section 22-2-4(B).

Requirements- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dentist after dental school (2 years of fellowship can count)
- Pediatric dental experience required
- DDS or DMD from an Accredited Dental School;
Doctorate is required - Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Active, unrestricted license as a Dentist in a U.S. state, D.C., PR, or a U.S. territory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Driver's license may be required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.; must be willing to complete a federal background check
- Willingness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice
