Dentist; Endodontist

The Dentist (Endodontist) serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures within the scope of endodontics specialty for the Albuquerque VA - Raymond G. Murphy Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center - New Mexico Health Care System within VISN 22 Desert Pacific Healthcare Network.

• Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity
• Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions
• Administer local anesthesia
• Perform routine and complex endodontic procedures
• Perform simple and complex endodontic surgical procedures
• Perform root-end fillings
• Perform temporary restorations of teeth
• Place posts and core on teeth as indicated
• Other associated dental procedures consistent with the scope performed by Endodontist in the community
• Be able to review CT scan pertinent to endodontic assessment as indicated
