Summary
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of New Mexico invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Radio Astronomy to begin in August 2026. This is a full-time, tenure-track or tenured position in Radio Astronomy. Applicants must have a PhD in Astronomy, Physics, Planetary Science, or a related field by the date of appointment. For best consideration, all application materials must be received by December 1, 2025.
Applications must demonstrate evidence of proficiency in the field of radio astronomy. The new faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Astronomy and Physics, supervise masters and doctoral students (including comprehensive exams), and contribute to core, required undergraduate and graduate courses.
