OVERVIEW
A dynamic expositor of God’s Word, who teaches and mentors students in grades 6th – College. This role emphasizes strong biblical preaching and teaching, active campus ministry involvement, vibrant community outreach, and the planning of annual events and camps. The ideal candidate will cultivate a safe, welcoming, and spiritually growing environment where students encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and develop as servant leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSpiritual Leadership and Biblical Teaching
- Deliver compelling expository preaching and gospel-centered teaching that address real-life issues faced by students.
- Model and teach personal devotion, prayer, worship, and a lifestyle of integrity.
Pastoral Care and Safety
- Provide pastoral care, crisis support, and listening ear to students and families.
- Maintain up-to‑date policies for safeguarding children and youth, including background checks and safety protocols.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with senior leadership, children’s ministry, worship, missions, and outreach teams to align vision and strategy.
- Communicate regularly with parents and volunteers through newsletters, social media, calendars, and meetings.
- Assess program effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and annual reviews; adjust strategies accordingly.
Campus Ministries and Partnerships
- Represent and promote the church’s youth & college ministry on local Christian & college campuses.
- Build and sustain partnerships with campus ministries and student organizations to create bridge‑building opportunities for mentorship and outreach.
- Develop internship, volunteer, and mentoring programs that connect students with campus service projects that advances students toward discipleship, serving others, and leadership growth.
Student Discipleship and Leadership Development
- Recruit and empower volunteer leaders, mentors, and interns to support youth programs.
- Implement small groups, student adult leadership training SALT, accountability structures to foster spiritual growth, responsibility and leadership qualities in our youth.
- Create opportunities for students to serve in the church and community, including mission trips and service projects.
Community Outreach and Evangelism
- Plan and execute outreach events that engage families, schools, and neighborhoods with the church’s mission to reach more families and their kids for Christ.
- Mentor students in personal evangelism, relational outreach, and compassionate service.
- Coordinate service projects, community partnerships, and charitable initiatives that reflect Christ’s love.
Programs, Events, and Camps
- Lead the planning and execution of weekly youth services, Bible studies, worship, and programming.
- Organize annual events (e.g., Fall Retreat, Winter Camp, Leaders Conference) and family‑friendly outreach events.
- Oversee budget, promotion, logistics, safety, and risk management for all youth activities.
- A strong commitment to prayer and a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A strong biblical commitment to your marriage and family.
- A clear sense of calling to the youth ministry.
- Bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, Theology, Youth Ministry is required; 3-5 years of equivalent ministry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities; proven experience in recruiting and developing volunteers who assist in students’ spiritual growth.
- Some audio video and sound system experience preferred but not required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, camps, and seasonal events.
- Must pass background check.
- Visionary trailblazer and relational leader with a servant‑hearted attitude.
- Creative, organized, and detail‑oriented with good project‑management skills.
- Proven time management that supports a healthy family and ministry.
- Prayerful, patient, and able to foster an environment of trust and growth.
- Team player who collaborates well with others and can take on other responsibilities as needed.
- Base salary $55,000 to $70,000 depending on experience and education.
- Up to 3% match toward church sponsored retirement.
- 2 weeks’ vacation & annual Christmas bonus.
- Phone reimbursement - $25 per paycheck.
