Occupational Therapist School Setting - Albuquerque, NM

Take your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a vibrant educational setting in the Albuquerque area, supporting students across elementary and high school environments. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to work onsite with two elementary schools and a high school, delivering both direct and indirect services to learners with diverse needs, including those in an Autism-based district program.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Current OT license required
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to different school environments
• Strong communication and consultation skills for collaboration with teachers and other staff
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centered therapy services

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver interventions for students at two elementary schools (11-12 students per school), as well as a high school (17-18 students)
• Support the districts Autism program by contributing expertise and assisting off-campus as needed
• Offer consultations and support for classroom teachers to enhance students participation in educational activities
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings
• Balance onsite itinerant responsibilities as you serve students across different school locations
