Cobb Fendley is seeking an experienced Broadband Field Technician in our Albuquerque, New Mexico Office.
RESPONSIBILITIESThis is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and are subject to change, including additional duties as assigned.
- Locate aerial, buried, and underground utilities through nondestructive methods.
- Locate and identify building utility entrance and exits.
- Distinguish types of cabling and equipment on utility poles.
- Record and document the field data in accordance with CAD standard formats.
- Document location of telephone poles and attachments.
- Identify and measure duct banks and riser conduits.
- Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Travel is a mandatory requirement of the role as assigned. The percentage of travel will fluctuate based on business needs and at times may account for 40% of the time worked. Travel includes to other offices or project sites throughout the US.

Tasks are divided between indoor and outdoor settings, with approximately 80% of duties performed in outdoor environments and 20% in indoor office or warehouse spaces.
- Cognitive Requirements. Selective attention, oral comprehension, oral expression, speech recognition, speech clarity, written comprehension, written expression, problem sensitivity, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, number facility, information ordering, category flexibility, flexibility of closure, fluency of ideas, and originality. Must remain alert and responsive while working in lane closure zones adjacent to high‑traffic and dynamic areas.
