Electrical Engineer

CEIS | Government is seeking a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) with demonstrated experience supporting Department of Energy (DOE) and/or federal construction projects. This role involves hands‑on engineering oversight for high‑consequence work scopes, including facility upgrades, field modifications, and infrastructure builds across DOE and similar government environments.

• Develop, review, and stamp engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for electrical systems.
• Provide design support and oversight for construction, startup, and commissioning of DOE‑related projects.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and applicable DOE directives and standards.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, safety leads, QA personnel, and field staff.
• Review and approve work packages, engineering changes, and technical documentation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Active PE license required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in DOE, nuclear, or federal construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of NQA‑1, OSHA 1926, and federal safety compliance standards.
• Clearance eligibility REQUIRED.
