Overview
We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Plumbing Designer in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office with the ability to serve as a discipline lead for plumbing design. Duties include plumbing design, equipment selection, plumbing plan layout, specification writing, cost estimating, coordination with other consultants and team members, and client interaction. This position involves working on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Some local and state travel will be required to perform field investigations, coordinate design requirements, and build client relations.

Responsibilities- Plumbing design, equipment selection, and plumbing plan layout for multiple projects.
- Specification writing and cost estimating.
- Coordination with other consultants, team members, and clients.
- Client interaction and project involvement in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel for field investigations, coordination of design requirements, and building client relations as needed.
- Serve as a discipline lead for plumbing design and provide guidance to less experienced designers/engineers.
- Minimum 10 years of plumbing design experience in the consulting engineering business.
- Self-motivated with the ability to develop approaches to projects independently and perform detailed execution of plumbing design.
- Communicates well verbally, in writing, and graphically, with other engineers, clients, and code authorities.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong personal ambition and work ethic.
- Strong working knowledge of various Building, Plumbing, Fire, Energy Conservation, and Fuel Gas codes.
- Strong working knowledge of the NFPA and other industry related standards.
- Strong personal ambition to be a team player and provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced designers/engineers.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design related software.
