As a Civil Environmental Engineer based in our Albuquerque office, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of water infrastructure across New Mexico and the greater Southwest. Your daily impact:
- Support design efforts for water, wastewater, recycled water, and conveyance systems.
- Perform engineering calculations, site layout, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of technical documents.
- Contribute to the development of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental documentation.
- Participate in construction administration and occasional fieldwork, including observations, submittals, and RFI reviews, etc.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including municipalities and utility districts.
- Maintain quality and consistency across technical deliverables while supporting client goals and project timelines.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience in water, wastewater, or recycled water infrastructure.
- EIT certification is required; PE licensure or the ability to obtain it within one year is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and USEPA permitting processes.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, treatment processes, and site civil design principles.
- Experience with software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for project meetings, fieldwork, and construction support, particularly within New Mexico.
