We need a Test Instrumentation Engineer in Albuquerque, NM as part of our Counter‑WMD Weapons and Capabilities Systems Engineering and Integration Team, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. This is a part‑time position that focuses on test instrumentation plan development, research and development, and investigation of new sensor and data acquisition technologies.
Responsibilities- Independent development, management, and implementation of instrumentation plans and methodologies to meet measurement objectives to support DTRA testing.
- Research, development, and integration efforts to maintain currency in state‑of‑the‑art and emerging/developmental data acquisition systems and sensor technologies across the CWMD testing spectrum to ensure maximum effectiveness and to fill voids in testing capabilities.
- Development and implementation of rigorous processes to ensure new sensor and data acquisition technologies are properly investigated and validated prior to introduction into the DTRA inventory.
- Development of test plans and methodologies to perform validation and verification testing of existing and emerging measurement diagnostic technologies and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific field with at least 12+ years of overall experience.
- Experience with DTRA research and development or developmental testing and evaluation.
- ACTIVE Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Prior support to DTRA RD‑TS or RD‑CXW.
