Sr VDC Coordinator
Location: Baton Rouge, LA – on-site (will consider candidates near a Jacobs U.S. office).
Employment type: Full‑time.
Base Pay: $111,100 – $152,700 per year. Final compensation is determined by skills, experience and work location.

Key Responsibilities- Designing wireless systems in iBwave, EDX, Atoll, and LMR Planner.
- Coordination with BIM designers to create drawing packages.
- Coordination with AHJ’s, Radio System Owners, and carriers.
- DIV 27 specification creation or modification.
- Conducting site visits and reviewing technical documents.
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Providing technical design leadership for data‑center building systems (Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Site Radio, RoIP, Wi‑Fi, Tower Studies).
- Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience designing wireless telecommunications systems, including LMR, Public Safety DAS, Commercial DAS (OTA, Neutral Host, D‑RAN).
- 5 years’ experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or equivalent modeling tools.
- Experience working with clients to identify wireless communication needs.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting field issues, Noise Floor, SNIR, Return Loss, VSWR.
- Optimization of networks during design and installation.
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, IFC section 510, Carrier KPI’s, IBC, FCC parts 20/90, FCC OET bulletin 65, and MOTOTRBO systems.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, project budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation.
- iBwave Level 2 Certification required.
- Experience designing Wi‑Fi systems.
- EDX or Motorola design certifications.
- FCC GROL, NICET Design Certification, multiple OEM product certifications.
- Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering degree.
- EIT or PE.
