Technical Program Manager – Advanced Electronics Packaging
Are you experienced in managing complex technical programs in the electronics/semiconductor domain and comfortable interfacing with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams? This high‑tech manufacturing business working in advanced electronics packaging is seeking a Technical Program Manager to oversee full lifecycle program execution, from requirements and design through fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own programs from kickoff through design, build, assembly, testing, and final delivery
- Serve as the primary customer interface and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate across engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Build and manage detailed schedules while driving accountability and reporting progress to internal teams and customers
- Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans to maintain momentum and delivery success
- Provide technical guidance to support feasibility, manufacturability, and design validation
- Support continuous improvement in processes, execution, and program structure
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related field);
Master’s preferred - 5+ years experience in technical program management or engineering leadership within electronics packaging, semiconductor hardware, or similar environments
- Experience working with government purchase order terms and conditions including DCMA, FAR, and DFARS
- Background in managing supply chains, including bill of materials and electronic assembly processes (SMT, flip‑chip, wire bond)
- Strong mechanical and electrical understanding to support assembly and failure investigation
- Experience speaking directly with customers and managing expectations
- Familiarity with program management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira or equivalent)
- US Citizenship (required for access to ITAR/EAR‑controlled information)
- Experience with regulated industries such as defense, aerospace, or medical devices is beneficial
Preferred Background
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Experience working in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of advanced packaging technologies such as 2.5D/3D integration, chiplets, or substrate design
